Family

Family is one of the most important parts of my life, and while families come in all shapes and sizes we have one thing in common, love. This is where I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself and the three people in my life who have made such a wonderful impact on who I am today.

           Sharon Talkington

 

A wife, mother, patient advocate, and lover of Jesus, Sharon endeavors to have a positive outlook on life and in everything she does she strives for excellence. Sharon loves to connect with people from all walks of life, and is in her element when she is working to help others who need her knowledge of hypophosphatasia and rare disorders. She has a tender heart and loves others with her whole being, and she knows for a fact that she married the right man as she loves to talk a ton.

          David Talkington

David is the proud husband of Sharon and enjoys loving others as Christ loved them. He has been a pastor for almost 30 years and is passionate about loving all people. David enjoys computer technology, music theory, cracking jokes, and numerous other hobbies that he's picked up over the years. Throughout all of this David has endeavored to stay as strong and active as he can despite health setbacks due to his bone disorder, Hypophosphatasia. Hypophosphatasia is a metabolic bone disorder where a person essentially doesn't make enough of an enzyme called alkaline phosphatase, which is essential for making bone among other chemical processes in the body. David always strives for a better tomorrow, looking forward to what the future holds for himself and his family.

          Rebekah "Bekah" Talkington

Rebekah Talkington is the eldest daughter of David and Sharon, a born worshipper at heart, and a lover of travel. Rebekah has been an amazing daughter and sister in her family, going above and beyond what was expected of her. She's a passionate worshipper, spending her time as a worship leader to help others discover the amazing love that comes with worship. Rebekah also loves to travel, and has many stories to tell about the amazing experiences she has had while navigating airports and exciting new cultures. 

          Rachel Talkington

 

Rachel Talkington is the youngest daughter of David and Sharon and is passionate about children, technology, worship, and travel. At a young age Rachel began to work as a volunteer in children's ministry and enjoys holding babies just as much as she enjoys playing piano and editing blog posts. Rachel enjoys writing as well, and is working on writing two or three books, depending upon her interests at the time. A full-time student and part-time caregiver to David, Rachel is a hard worker who enjoys studying, cleaning, and volunteering whenever she gets the chance.
